Daniel Town

community in S Rutherford County. Named for Leonard N. Daniel, who operated a store there, owned adjacent land, and built several houses.

Daniels Cove

S Haywood County on Shining Creek.

Daniels Creek

rises in W Harnett County and flows NE into Cape Fear River. The name is a corruption of Donnelys; named for Arthur Donnely, who settled on its banks in 1750. Earlier known as McPhersons Creek.

textile community in central Lincoln County SW of Lincolnton. Originally two separate communities. Daniels named for Daniel Warlick, pioneer settler; Rhyne named for founder of local mill.
